The Newspaper Club

Initially founded by London based agency Really Interesting Group, the Newspaper Club is basically a service that allows you to get your own newspaper printed without having to worry about getting huge amounts printed.

here's what they say:

"we think the web is wonderful and printed newspapers are a tremendous, highly-evolved way of reading stuff. We think combining the two is a good idea. We're not about news or any particular form of content, we're about ink on newsprint. Whatever you think would be good to print that way; we think you're probably right".

Thought we might be able design a create our own small run of newspapers and a good opportunity to do some layout design.

Drift

What first appears to be moving image captured using a video camera is in fact a stop frame animation created using a stills camera. an effect has been added at the points of transition so that each image morphes into the next rather than having a shaky effect. the result is pretty trippy, but cool.

A walk in the park

Pete and Ryan braved the cold weather and took a pile of flat-packed boxes out to the meadows and experimented with different structures that would obstruct people's path. It was interesting to see the different ways people reacted to the boxes, ranging from enthusiasm to annoyance, including an old granny who kicked them down.
